Intel detailed its next-generation data center GPU, the Crescent Island AI GPU, at Computex 2026. Built on Intel's Xe3P GPU architecture, the Crescent Island GPU is purpose-built for AI and supports a wide range of data types, from FP4 for high-performance AI inference to FP64 for potential scientific computing applications. Additionally, the GPU features up to 480 GB of LPDDR5X memory and is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
