Apple Launches New Products This Week, Touch-screen MacBook Pro to Debut by Year-End

Apple will hold a new product launch event this week on March 4, with potential releases including iPhone 17e, new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models, next-generation entry-level iPad and iPad Air, as well as low-cost MacBook equipped with A-series chips. 

Apple has maintained an independent positioning for its Mac and iPad product lines, and the first touchscreen MacBook Pro will make its debut at the end of 2026. 

It is reported that the touch-screen MacBook Pro will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions, with core upgrades focused on display and hardware configurations. In terms of display, the new product will completely abandon the current Mini LED panels and instead adopt customized tandem OLED touch screens from Samsung across all models. It will introduce the iconic Dynamic Island design from the iPhone for the first time, featuring smaller cutouts to display core functions such as battery status and notification alerts. Regarding hardware configuration, this model will debut TSMC's 2nm process M6 series chips, with the high-end version featuring the M6 Max chip, delivering over 30% improvement in CPU performance compared to the previous generation, increaseing 40% in GPU performance, and doubling AI computing power.
