Samsung Electronics Launches T7 and T9 microSD Cards

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the new T7 and T9 microSD cards, marking a significant refresh of its removable storage lineup with a clearer naming strategy and enhanced performance tiers. 

The T7 microSD card is positioned for everyday high-reliability expanded storage, primarily targeting casual gamers, prosumer content creators, and everyday users who continuously accumulate photos, videos, and documents across multiple devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The card offers four capacity options — 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB — with sequential read speeds of up to 170MB/s.

The T9 microSD card is designed for performance-intensive applications, tailored for hardcore gamers, drone photographers, 4K/6K video editors, and professional users who need to frequently read and write large engineering files. The card offers three capacity options — 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB — with read speeds of up to 200MB/s. 

The new products will be available to consumers starting April 30, 2026.
